[I'm posting this as a response to a July 2008 thread] As far as I can tell, it seems that the BigTIFF MIME type (and file extension) have still not been decided. So I will go with "image/x-tiff-big" for the MIME type, and "BTF" for the extension unless someone can convince me otherwise. - Phil
