Hi! HP-UX 9.03, GNU binutils, GCC 2.8.1 After building and installing tiff-v3.4beta037 I encountered the following problems: Both Gimp / ImageMagick have problems building the TIFF support; both show the same errors during configure or compilation: make[3]: Entering directory `/mnt/disk3/gnu/gimp-0.99.26/plug-ins/tiff' /bin/sh ../../libtool --mode=link gcc -O -I/users2/local/include -L/users2/local/lib -Wall -o tiff tiff.o ../../libgim p/libgimpui.la ../../libgimp/libgimp.la -L/users2/local/lib -L/usr/lib/X11R5 -lgtk -lgdk -lglib -lXext -lX11 -lm -ltiff -lc libtool: link: warning: using a buggy system linker libtool: link: relinking will be required before `tiff' can be installed gcc -O -I/users2/local/include -L/users2/local/lib -Wall -o .libs/tiff tiff.o -Wl,+b -Wl,/users2/local/lib /mnt/disk3/gn u/gimp-0.99.26/libgimp/.libs/libgimpui.sl -L/users2/local/lib -Wl,+b -Wl,/users2/local/lib /mnt/disk3/gnu/gimp-0.99.26/l ibgimp/.libs/libgimp.sl -L/users2/local/lib -L/users2/local/lib -L/usr/lib/X11R5 -lgtk -lgdk -lglib -lXext -lX11 -lm -lt iff -lc collect2: ld returned 1 exit status /bin/ld: /users2/local/lib/libtiff.sl: Not a valid object file (invalid version id) libtiff.sl is not being generated correctly.
