LibTiff Mailing List

We have an issue with some TIFF images that we can't display with a normal
Windows image viewer.

For some reason the image is malformed or unstructured. 

Tiffinfo returns values that appear normal however (tags, etc.).

Is there any way to know if an image is all right from a display standpoint
using some libtiff utility?

Also, is there some way to know if an image all white, or all black, using
some libtiff utility?

As you can see, we need to somehow be able to know something about the
"quality" of the image without actually having a human display the image and
see it.
