Marzio,
- In which tiff tag are stored the number of pages?
In none. A TIFF file is a linked list of IFDs (= pages, more or less). The scope of a tag is the IFD it's in. No tag is therefore allowed to make a statement about another IFD, or about the file as a whole, and therefore a number-of-pages tag is not logically possible. You can, however, scan through the list, and count as you go.
- How can I sequentially read them?
- How can I sequentially write them to the output tiff (and set the end of
each page)?
For this too, you need to read LibTiff docs.
See http://www.remotesensing.org/libtiff/libtiff.html#Dirs and further down that page. Also recommended to make a bookmark/favorite of http://www.remotesensing.org/libtiff/man/index.html.
