Which makes me wonder why the [Tiff] mail server doesn't automatically add the reply-to field, so we don't have to think about it.

It is in case I forget to change the reply address back when I reply in private, asking if you are still beating your wife.

This brings back some old argument... Which is more likely and more frequent on the TIFF mailing list: discussion of TIFF matters, or discussion of someone's beating of someone's wife? Which is more harmfull to the list, the once every decade that a message that is intended to be so personal accidently gets send to the list, or the half of the usefull messages in *every* thread nowadays that accidently gets send off the list? Which is more annoying and frustrating to all of us?

To be quite honest, Bob, when Frank said it was controversial, I believe he respected your opinion on the matter, even though nobody seems to share it.
