Are you saying it does this to the buffer that is passed to stuff like TIFFWriteEncodedStrip(), TIFFWriteEncodedTile() and TIFFWriteScanline()? If so, perhaps some documentation should be added to the documentation indicating that this can occur in some situations. Which type of compression is this? PIXAR?
