Over the years, we have used a number of tags in our specialist TIFF
implementations for interrnal indexes, and for maps and plans (storage of
scale etc). We also received prompt and polite attention from Adobe about
three months ago for a further allocation of 5 tags. When we first applied
for tags a few years ago, it was hard going and we had to contact Adobe in
Europe to get come action, but they have been most cooperative and helpful
recently.
