Dear Mr. Kiselev,

thank you for your comment on the issue I put forward. I reported it to the 
developer of Pixel, too, and it was very rapidly fixed by him. So thanks to 
the help of this mailing list Pixel will produce more standard compliant 
tiffs.

The things is, that it is not only PhotoShop, but also ACDSystems Canvas and 
XnView. As I am just a user it is difficult for me to judge what is standard 
compliant and what not, so I think a bit in the way you said - if it works 
with PhotoShop ...).
