In this post, Andrey mentions that a full-featured release including documentation well be issued "really shortly". This was 9 months ago... any word on the progress.

You'd have to ask Andrey. Speaking for myself, there's all sorts of stuff I want to do 'really shortly' but am forced to postpone way longer then 9 months.

Anyway, I'm sure everybody would welcome anyone's contribution to the documentation, not just Andrey's.

Also, he mentions this is "read-only" support, but I think Anurag want to write this IFD as well.

Oh, another thing I missed to read in his HTML mail, it seems... I ought to consider just shutting up more often.

Can that be done?

I don't know, I'm sorry. I would like to humbly suggest trying, finding ways around any problems if there are any, and please reporting back and/or contributing solutions.
