The tiff standard states that all compliant tiff readers should implement a functionality set. Both are in there, so you can chose I guess. I am not an expert though, and your question confuses me a bit... They are both just ways of representing the image data, and though there are many parameters, there is just one way to "understand" this image data. I don't know much about tiles though, as I have only every worked with strips but this is my take on it. Hope I'm not wrong! Cheers Antoine |
