However, in this case it is not so. I haven't taken the time to research who, exactly, is the author for the code you are using, but chances are extremely good that they're not even on this list. So the maintainers and this list essentially compose a group of people who use parts of the software and may be experts on some portions of the code or technologies, but I don't think anyone here is an expert on all of it. Let's say that you, then, choose to study the code and become an expert on the portion which you are questioning. If you stay active on this list then you can help others. But what most-commonly happens is that once a problem is resolved the expertise is lost again as they become inactive on this list. Thanks, Lee.
