We're using LeadTools (version 10.0) for JPEG TIFF writing, and I've noticed a few things that don't seem right.

Unfortunately, LeadTools has lots of company when it comes to bogus type-6 TIFF writing. It's amazing how creatively the type-6 spec has been interpreted by some folks. Bad enough that the spec itself is ambiguous, but most of the files I've seen have demonstrable violations of the parts that aren't ambiguous!

I'd strongly recommend that you give up on type-6 TIFFs as a hopelessly lost cause. There is no compatible file format there, just a babel of mutually incompatible (mis)implementations.

Does what I've said sound right? Does anyone that knows a bit more want me to send them an image to confirm it?

I'd be glad to look if you want, but I think you've already identified the problems....
