I've downloaded the patch file from sgi.com. When trying to run it on a Sun workstation, I find there is no such thing as a "patch" command in the manual pages. Could you give me the appropriate command or syntax for running the patch script on the Sun. (Is it similar to sed - if so, what syntax?)

The patch program is widely available by public ftp. You can use the archie service to locate a server near you that has it.
