I forgot to mention that the "problem" can be cured by removing the struct element "white" from within tif_fax3.h (there is only one called 'white' in the whole file). Also, in tif_fax3.c 'white' should be converted to 0. This will remove some code. Also 'wruns' will always equal 'zeroruns' and 'bruns' will equal 'oneruns'.
