Most mailing list members would unsubscribe. Since voting kicked back up again on the PNG list, I have since unsubscribed. I recommend that we use the IETF of approach of developing a working specification and a couple of interoperable implementations written to that specification to prove that it is sound. Libtiff 4.X can be one of those implementations. Maybe Adobe can provide the other. PNG went for ISO standard status. I don't see that as a necessity for BigTIFF, particularly since the existing TIFF specification is a vendor specification.
