Actually, in my implementation everything is working fine except that the output image is having thre colors just opposite to the input image......i.e white for black and black for white......Rest is all fine.......

It sounds like the photometric interpretation is reversed (MINISWHITE vs MINISBLACK). I'm not sureabout tiffdither, but tiffcp has a command line option to change this.

Check the man pages, sorry I don't have them near me now.
