Folks,
I have tagged a branch-3-9 for further work on libtiff 3.9.x releases while
libtiff 4.0 (BigTIFF, etc) work goes on in CVS head.
A 3.9 branch tree can be extracted from CVS using a command like:
cvs -d :pserver:cvsanon@cvs.maptools.org:/cvs/maptools/cvsroot \
checkout -r branch-3-9 libtiff
Libtiff developers should now be careful to incorporate bug fixes in the
3.9 branch, and to either also apply them to CVS head or notify Joris of the
changes made so that he can consider how they might be applied in "head".
Libtiff "head" should be considered very unstable from this point on, and
avoided till we are otherwise notified by Joris.
