Thanks to all who replied, especially to Klaus Bartz. Klaus showed me that this is not a bug in libtiff but in the tiff files. These files are simply not conform with CCITT T.6 and earlier.

I will start an interesting discussion with the guys responsible for generating this Tiff files.

Thanks to you all i know exactly whats wrong with these files. Once again thanks to you all and expecially to Klaus Bartz.
