Surely the limit is 2.1 Gb?
Just re-read the documentation "TN1150" and HFS+ theoretical limit is 2^63, however SetFPos() uses a signed long that would limit it to 2^31.
However, it may be possible to acces the the extra bit > 2.1G using the low level param block functions. I haven't tried this and can't vouch for whether it would work or not, or how it could be compiled into libtiff. Of course tiff is still limited to 4.3G
