Thanks for your work! I would, however, recommend in the future that folks limit the size of their postings to this mailing list. In particular, if you have something >~100 lines, consider carefully whether everyone on the list will want it. If not, you can send it directly to me and I will make it available in the public ftp area where the tiff software resides. If distributing something large does make sense, then consider distributing it in a compressed form. For example, I typically send out large items compacted with compress and then encoded with the uuencode program:

cat bigdiffs | compress | uuencode bigdiffs.Z | mail tiff@sgi.com

I'll look at integrating your work into the next beta--which hopefully I can get out early next week.
