Hi Wreh,

The TIFF mailing list is about the Tagged Image File Format. It has no direct relation with GPS systems although spatial data might be included in a TIFF file, e.g. for GIS applications. If you have a question in that direction please reformulate your needs in detail. The TIFF mailing list is not intended to discuss GPS devices. There are sites doing a much better job such as http://gpsinformation.net/. For GPS backgrounder check wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Positioning_System

Regards,
rob tiIllaart

Does anyone know more about the usage of GPS and how it came into being? What may be the best one at this point? I am thinking about buying one and wants someone to share their experience of using it with me. I need it for traveling purposes.

  Thanks.

  Wreh
