Did you notice the two confirmations that your file works with current 
stable release? You don't seem to need an older stable version, the current 
stable version would do, which presumably means something is dodgy in your 
build process (the 'boolean' issue?) or something is modified in your 
LibJpeg version or such.

If you can't find anything wrong in your build, can you post us your 
decoding code to have a look at?
