For the benefit of others that may be reading this thread - above  
statement is not true in 99% of cases.

It is true that this is one of the documented possibilities, but I  
have yet to come across a file with this tag.

Photoshop stores the info about paths (and the name of the clipping  
path) in tag 34377, among other things. All files which I could  
analyze contained this tag.

To get the documentation for this tag, you need to apply for Advanced  
SDK from Adobe. This information and application form was sent to me  
by a kind person with adobe.com email address, so I guess this is the  
only legal way to get the documentation...
