Euhrm, I almost forgot... I do have an ycbcr 1,1 image in my testsuite. And it reads just fine. I guess that means either (1) your images are substantially different (perhaps badly written) or (2) it's the reading wrapper that goes bazurk (I interface with LibTiff strictly on the lowest level). So, anyway, I still suggest that you mail me one or two of your images, that way we can exclude the first possibility and you can narrow down your bug hunt. Joris
