No strict timeframe. I want to release 3.7.1 as soon as possible
(probably in next weeks), but it may be delayed if I will be too busy
at this time.

For now we have a very preliminary test suite (available as a 'check'
target). This work just started and I will continue writing tests, but
it is quite large task, so I can't say when we will have more or less
complete set of tests. And there is no attempt to implement the
previously discussed suite with images/checksums, this was leaved for
future development.
