Hi,

Is there any (proposed) standard for using JBIG compression in TIFF files?

Also, is anyone here familiar with JBIG-related patent licensing issues? I
understand that several patents cover various aspects of the compression. For
example, would it be legal to distribute a program which has JBIG support free
of charge for noncommercial use, without paying license fees?
