Euah, that was not a very good answer, was it? Except for the RTM part. TIFFReadDirectory is what you need to look at. You need to scan through the file wright up to the point were there are no directories left and TIFFReadDirectory returns 0.

The quote is probably even irrelevant to this issue, sorry to have been a little too quick.
