Phil,

In what specification is the concept of the SubIFD defined? In this pagemaker specification wording is quite clear: "If there is more than 1 child image for a given parent image, the NextIFD value of Child #1 must point to Child #2".

I must be missing something. Please let me know if you have a better reference for the SubIFD definition. (I can't find mention of it in the TIFF6 spec.)

I'm talking of the specification of the concept *tag*. A tag can have an array of values. SubIFD is a tag. The SubIFD specification should not be able to overwrite that behaviour localy.
