Thread2002.03.23 18:04 "Re: DateTime tag reference point?", by Jon SaxtonReply to message from "Michael O'Rourke" <morourke@adobe.com> on Fri, 22 Mar 2002 12:42:52 -0600 > Is the DateTime tag supposed to be in Greewich Mean Time? > > The docs don't seem to say anything and if it isn't in GMT, then it seems > like it is kind of useless. Michael: What you say is far too logical and sensible. Every TIFF file I have ever seen which contains a timestamp uses local time without qualification so you have to guess at the time zone. It is a bit of a problem because I deal with images from two different time zones (US Eastern and Central) with time-dependent processing. -- Jon Saxton <js@triton.vg> OS/2 software developer U.S. agent for Triton Technologies International Ltd http://www.triton.vg/ |
