Hi, folks, Libtiff 3.6.1 was released today. You can grab the source code tarballs from the our FTP site: ftp://ftp.remotesensing.org/pub/libtiff/tiff-v3.6.1.tar.gz ftp://ftp.remotesensing.org/pub/libtiff/tiff-v3.6.1.zip Appropriate LZW compression module also released: ftp://ftp.remotesensing.org/pub/libtiff/libtiff-lzw-compression-kit-1.5.tar.gz Test pictures bundle was updated as well and available here: ftp://ftp.remotesensing.org/pub/libtiff/pics-3.6.1.tar.gz The main site for libtiff is http://www.remotesensing.org/libtiff/ Among usual bugfixes the new release featured with the following major items: - New utility tiff2pdf for converting TIFF images directly into PDF (thanks go to Ross Finlayson, who kindly contributed this software to libtiff). - New color conversion module: CIE Lab 1976 now supported by the TIFFRGBAImage, color conversion API abstracted in separate module and available for users. - Full support for Orientation tag in TIFFRGBAImage interface, now you can place origin in any corner and image will be properly flipped/rotated before displaying.
