indeed has a clipping path tag specified in it, but after looking at many TIFF files I see that they don't use this TAG. Instead they use their own TAG (34377). The data in this TAG seems to be in some kind of MAC Resource format.

Oops. Look in Adobe Photoshop SDK for information on Mac Resource paths.
