Roland,

Probably your best bet for info on GeoTIFF is at

http://home.earthlink.net/~ritter/geotiff/geotiff.html

This page is maintained by Niles Ritter who is one of the authors of the
GeoTIFF spec. His page has a downloadable copy of the spec, a TIFF
extension library for GeoTIFF, and links to sample GeoTIFF images.
There is supposed to be a GeoTIFF mailing list, but I've never had any
luck subscribing to it (anyone have any advice on this?).

I recently added his library into my company's TIFF code, and it appears
to work pretty well. We run on NT/95, so if you have any questions I
could certainly try to help.
