Hello,

I am not able to open files (I'm trying quad-jpeg.tif from the distribution) that are using JPEG compression. I receive the following assertion error:

Assertion failed!
File: tif_jpeg.c
Line: 597
Expression: sp->cinfo.comm.is_decompressor

I am building everything in Visual Studio.NET. I first buillt the jpeg library (jpeg-6b), then libtiff (version 3.6.1) (after uncommenting JPEG_SUPPORT in the makefile and setting up the path to the JPEGDIR). Everything builds fine.

Your help would be much appreciated!
