Of course that > does not mean it is a good idea. Yeah - and at least one of them did the boneheaded move of storing an entire JP2 file inside the TIFF (with incorrect headers on the TIFF, no less). I don't see a need to reproduce JPEG2000 in TIFF. It already does what's needed on it's own. Borrowing some of the better ideas and making them more flexible - that I'm all for. Chris
