I was wondering if anyone has come across code that can convert any .bmp (windows DIB) to tiff?

The GDI+ options sounds great, but this code will run both on Windows and Linux platforms.

While the solution may seem excessively large, you could use GraphicsMagick from http://www.graphicsmagick.org/. GraphicsMagick is able to read BMP/DIB and write TIFF. It works under Windows and all Unix-like systems.
