Graeme Gill has kindly posted all the code that will allow you to read and write ICC profiles:

Here is some code to manipulate profiles in a JPEG stream based on the IJG code base:

(ftp://ftp.cs.columbia.edu/jpeg/examples/iccprofile.tar.gz).

I am not aware of any code to read write profiles into TIFF files, but would also like to have this if anyone has implemented it.
