I have programs that use TIFFLib to decompress G4 image data and on
occation they recieve an assertion failed exception from the library
with the test being 'x == lastx' or something like that.  I posted
a detailed message describing the problem and got no response (I'm
still waiting...).  I just commented out the assert in the meantime.
