Just one of those > things that sucks. Unfortunately, the fake site still has featured-link status when you do a Google search for "libtiff." I've just edited a recent post about BigTIFF (http://fileformats.blogspot.com/2008/07/update-on-bigtiff.html) by adding a link to point to the correct place, and noting, "Beware of imitations such as www dot libtiff dot org!"
