Unfortunately, the fake site still has featured-link status when you do
a Google search for "libtiff." I've just edited a recent post about
BigTIFF (http://fileformats.blogspot.com/2008/07/update-on-bigtiff.html)
by adding a link to point to the correct place, and noting, "Beware of
imitations such as www dot libtiff dot org!"

If people add links to the correct site from appropriate pages which
they control, it might bump libtiff dot org out of first place.
