Given it's bogus, it's hard to understand why so many links point at it.
Is the google ranking being manipulated ?

Another thing that may help would be to change the page title
at remotesensing to be something that indicates that it is a more active site
(how aboute "last release vX.X.X" ?), or at least something different to
the libtiff.org page.
