If I take a TIFF file and do

   % tiffcp -B -s -r 18 -p separate -c lzw:2 in.tif out.tif

then I get an error with this command:

   % tiffcp -p contig out.tif crap.tif
   large-separate-tiffcp.tif: Compression algorithm does not support random access.
   large-separate-tiffcp.tif: Error, can't read scanline 1.

Ideas?
