I suggest trademarking "libtiff" (may be as simple as adding (TM) beside libtiff on the web site, and a trademark statement) and then filing a complaint that the site is a violation of trademark or copyright. That is the most effective and fastest way to get a domain pulled. It seems that the validity of claims is not terribly important since the approach used is to "shoot first and ask questions later".

That may be a good idea, but I think the only person who can do it is Sam Leffler. And I'm not sure iy can work worldwide. The company which is catched the domain is a Germany resident (it seems so, but I'm not sure).
