Selon Bob Friesenhahn <bfriesen@simple.dallas.tx.us>: Recently, Frank Warmerdam made a few changes in libjpeg CVS to built it for 12 bits/sample mode, in a way it can coexist with the standard 8 bits/sample. This work has been integrated in GDAL SVN head and used by its internal libtiff for example.
