Under windows, the problem compression types appear to return "garbage" image data.

Does anyone have any idea why this may be happening, or what can be done to solve it?

sorry, i don't have a way to solve it. but i wanted to tell anyone who does know how to solve it to _please_ send any ideas to the list, or at least to me, too, as i've been struggling with this for quite a while.
