Hello,

Thank you Kai-Uwe.

I just tried imview, and all it says is
"imtranslate: format as yet unsupported, type=FLOAT"

I'm trying something else.

Best regards
Axel

But I have no luck with floating point values. I use SAMPLEFORMAT_IEEEFP sample format along with 32 bits per sample.

All the pixel values are issued from an 8 bit/sample image, with no conversion or multiplication applied to them.

So the SAMPLEFORMAT_IEEEFP and 32-bit bps tags reflect the real data format?

You could look at the libtiff sample images. It is a separate package. A double format test image should be included.

A excellent viewer for debugging is Imview: http://www.cmis.csiro.au/Hugues.Talbot/imview/
