Ok, I have done some testing. I am using tiffcp to swith from ZIP compression to JPEG, etc.. compression. However, when going from JPEG,... to ZIP I get the libtiff (not Adobe) ZIP compression tag. So... attached is a patch for tiffcp.c.

I'll let you know how things go when I have done more testing.
