Sorry, i forgot to mention that i'm using CCITTFAX4 -compression.
Ahh, well that makes for very short runs for the fax compression to take advantage of. Also, I think the fax compression is window based (2D). If so, 1 row strips would be very inefficient.
Is there any other way to have random-access(actually just reverse-access) support for writing or reading of scanlines? Or do i have to change my scanline output routines to pack them into '?' sized strips?
