So sounds like there is not necessarily a "preferred" way to do this (as in "this method is old and deprecated" or "this method is strongly encouraged over the other one")? Seems like I am free to choose just based on which one fits my specific situation better. Please let me know if you know something to the contrary! Or if there are any more resources/documentation you can recommend.
