We have a few TIFF images from a customer that no software other than Adobe Photoshop CS will read. It is a straightforward RGB image with LZW compression. When I resave this image using Photoshop CS the only differences are the strip offsets. The strip offsets are obviously incorrect. Could there have been a bug in a version of Photoshop CS that generates these invalid TIFF's? Given that there could be thousands of these images around I would like to know how much efforts we should put in to support this since it will load in Photoshop, or if there is any advice on obtaining the correct strip offsets for this apparent corrupt image.
I would like to take a look at these images. Could you share them with me?
