I tried to build LibTIFF-3.8.0 on the FreeBSD (4.11-RELEASE)

box, but failed. I attach the report on this problem.

Oddly, LibTIFF-3.8.0 still compiled under FreeBSD 5.4, Solaris, MinGW, and Cygwin. Maybe some shells (bash?) incorrectly accept ==.

Thanks for the bug report. I have made sure that the fix is in libtiff CVS for the next release.
