Hi Rainer,
thanks for your detailed description. As you might guess it has a photogrammetry background (i've visited your company web page).
I'd like to use this to add tags to aerial images in TIFF format. But as this images are somewhat huge (>200 MB) i'm not sure anymore if it's a good idea. Maybe it's better to hold the additional information in seperate files.
